What more can be said about a mug? When I craft a mug, the feel of the mug in my hand is an important factor in deciding which mugs make it to the kiln, and which go the recycle bucket to become workable clay again.  Long before the mug is fired, long before colors are picked to glaze it, I cradle the leather hard form in my hand, and feel its weight and shape.  It should fit cozily in my hand, and the handle should function equally well either held or with fingers slipped inside.
